What are audio hotspots?
We've introduced a new class of hotspot which allows adding audio to your scene. This is helpful when you are describing design choices to your client or providing details on specific objects in the scene.
You now can upload audio files to Yulio and place audio hotspots into your scene. It's a great way to provide additional context to your customer while they are immersed in your design.
How can I upload my audio files?
Audio hotspots are available to accounts on the Enterprise plan tier. To create a custom plan that fits your business needs, call us at 1-844-310-3429 or email us anytime at hello@yulio.com.
On the Edit VRE page, you can upload audio files just like cube maps. Upload audio files to the drop zone near the bottom of the page or browse to select your files.
Once uploaded, audio files can be managed in the new "Audio" tab on the Edit VRE page
What audio files does Yulio support?
Yulio support various audio file formats including the following:
- wav
- mp3
- m4a
- ogg
- wma
- aac
How can I add audio hotspots to my scene?
On the Edit VRE page find the "Hotspot Editor" button.
In the hotspot editor, select the audio tab on the left navigation menu. Audio files uploaded to the VRE will appear there.
Drag the desired audio file from the left pane into the 3D viewer. Place it where you would like the hotspot to appear for your viewer. You can also click + from the left pane and an audio hotspot will be created in the 3D viewer.
What are Audio Properties?
Once the hotspot has been created in your scene, you can modify it's location by clicking and dragging the hotspot itself.
There is also a depth slider in the Audio Properties which allows you to place the hotspot closer or further away in 3D space.
